RECREATIONAL

Northstar Cheer is dedicated to bringing the exciting co-ed sport of “Cheerleading” to the Windsor area.  Our program combines Dance, Gymnastics, Cheer technique, stunting/ pyramid building, and essential conditioning in a fun and challenging atmosphere.  Cheerleading is a physically and mentally challenging activity that builds self confidence and promotes team work and trust.  We would like to welcome you to join our program and hope that you enjoy your Northstar Cheer experience.

There are a few rules that must be followed:

1. Participants must come to class with their hair up and pulled back off of the face.  No jewellery may be worn and no clothing with sharp objects such as zippers may be worn.
2. All participants must wait in the corral area until the coach calls them out onto the floor.  All athletes must be reminded that we share our space with others and it is important to pay attention to what is going on around you so as to ensure the safety of everyone
3. Parents must remain in the corral area or in the other designated viewing areas at all times. The rules of Winstars Gymnastics facility posted on the wall in the corral must be adhered to at all times.
4. All participants must wear their Northstar Cheer T-shirt to class when every possible.  A pair of running shoes with a smooth sole should also be available at the class.
5. The most important thing you can bring to class is a positive attitude and a willingness to try your best.
